PHILADELPHIA FASHION WEEK
Day three of fashion week came so quickly and we have to say that Saturday was definitely the most exciting and people packed day of the event. There wasn’t a seat available by the runway and the VIP area was super full of trendy hipsters.

Saturday was highly anticipated, as the winning school of the Student Design Award was announced (we’ll get to that later!). Marina Makaron Moscow had such a fresh show, the models all had funky hair do’s and dolly-style makeup. Marina is such an enthusiatic and bright soul and this shows in everything she does. All of her beautiful clothing and accessories evoke those qualities she holds and that’s what people love about her pieces, not to mention that they look great on!
Our favorite pieces from SA VA’s simplistic collection was the boldest piece seen on the runway, taken by Christopher Gabello, a fab. Philadelphia photographer hired to be PFW’s house photographer.
The Hustle was an incredible band, they performed for a full house, and wherever you looked people were jamming. We loved the Hustle so much, we asked them to be guest performers at Fight For Cure’s Ribbon Ball! The band members were super nice, they loved talking to fans and PFW attendee’s.
Following The Hustle’s performance was the sexy Parke & Ronen show which featured sexy male models in their bikini’s! NO REALLY!!! (check photo at the top of this post of Posh Lady w/ all male models for proof). Parke & Ronen designs swimsuits for every type of man- a variety of styles, colors, and cuts were shown to the crowd and people LOVED what they saw…or maybe they just loved the half naked men?? Either way, Parke & Ronen rocked.
PFW ended with a BANG, as beautiful models strutted their stuff in Melani Von Alexandria’s gorgeous ready to wear collection. Flowing fabrics, ruffles, loose fitting dressed with bedazzled necklines were all themes incorporated into her savvy clothing.
Miss Von Alexandria was one of the only designers to walk the runway after her show and she looked marvelous.
SO the moment you’ve all been waiting for (if you don’t already know…) THE WINNER OF THE STUDENT DESIGN AWARD went to: Philadelphia University (day 2 student designer show).
At the very end of the show all of the PFW founders were popping champagne and cheering, what a successful event they accomplished!! Congratulations to all who put in their hard work it was fabulous. (rumor is plans for next PFW begin in November!)
