FRANCO SENSI STADIUM, ITALY
Gino Zavanella has recently unveiled the blueprints of a new stadium in Rome. This stadium will be called ‘Franco Sensi’ and what makes it so special is that it is entirely made of solar panels. Going green is a beautiful thing and something quite innovative & different in Italy.
Scrolling messages will be on blast via an LED screen when the game is on. Catering to the Italian soccer fans, this stadium will have a specialty in house museum to display information and highlights on Rome’s sports teams.
In addition this stadium will be equipped with the basic modern facilities like restaurants, lounges, and bars complementing its regular seating. The highly efficient solar photovoltaic panels will hinge on a peripheral zinc-titanium membrane shell. There will be another water-resistant layer allowing 80% of all light to pass through it.
This is an epic stadium for Italy and is the third one of its size to ever be built, following Taiwan and Switzerland.
