“I liked that Indah means beautiful of a place or a thing, not a person. It refers to nature; flowers, waves, the sunrise! I originally heard the word used as a name given to a baby girl that was born in the tiny village of Titibatu, on Lombok Island. I thought the word itself was beautiful, I didn’t know that is what it meant.” – Libby D. Head designer, owner, and founder of Indah Clothing
We always look for the newest, best, most comfortable and thus most perfect clothing line to stick to and I think this one really checks off the whole list. We are talking about a clothing line called, Indah, meaning beautiful in Indonesian, which “honestly defines the clothing it names.” Indah clothing is both suitable for day or night, and the luxurious fabrics paired with Indy style truly steals the show, no matter what you chose to wear by the brand.
They offer a variety of threads including tee’s, dresses, pants, lingerie, cover-ups, and bathing suits. The brand itself is truly unlike any other, and each line they carry is more interesting and more crave worthy than the last. Indah’s clothing is versatile; it adds edge to your wardrobe and is environmentally safe. Some of the items are made 100% by hand and that is a luxury of quality you won’t find with many brands today. The best part about Indah clothing is the striking attention to detail and originality that seeps from the pores of this brand. Anything you wear from them will call for compliments and get the crowd wondering where you’ve been shopping!
We surfed their site to show you guys our top picks from Indah Clothing… and in all sincerity it was a CHALLENGE because everything got “oohs & ahhs!” Indah offers several lines ( they release 5 collections a year), but we picked some faves from 3 of their lines “The Essentials,” “Desert Rose,” & “Luxe,” a new line for 2013.
Let’s start with the Essentials: with this line, we focused more on the clothing; dresses in particular! These two incredible pieces (see images below) are all made with great attention to detail, the finest materials, and sewn in super sexy/feminine cuts. Each piece is different and special in it’s own way, and the best part these dresses is their versatility. If you wanted to wear them during the day you could, though you wouldn’t lose an ounce of elegance should you choose to wear them in the evening.
Desert Rose: As you can see for yourselves the colors make you feel bright, airy, and overall, just great! The femininity is exquisite, and the attention to detail unlike the more simplistic lines out there today. These items make us want to feel the fabric, it looks smooth and very light and exudes a luxury feel throughout.
Luxe: What you must know about this line is that you will feel fabulously tribal, earthy, and like the natural goddess that you are. When we spotted some of the swimsuits available in the Luxe Collection, we immediately had the urge to reach for our credit card and buy every single style available just because they are THAT fabulous! The suits are all cut in sexy styles with no painful elastics- just seamless sleek bikinis and bikini bottoms! All of the pieces in the Luxe collection are light and flirty. From the colors and fabrics to the print detail; each item appeals to femininity and is sure to boost your confidence. After all, everyone will be starring at you wondering where you picked up such fabulous clothes. Here are our top picks:
Each item from the Luxe collection certainly screams originality, style, comfort, and if we could label it with one word we would say Special! We love that each piece in this collection draws flattery to the body. No elastics on your swimsuit are brilliant, leaving you feeling free and happy. I think the Indah Clothing brand does a spectacular job of making a woman feel feminine and extraordinary no matter where she is.
Indah clothing is the ultimate brand for the free spirit and helps bring out the special glow from within. Be a show stopper and shop Indah!
Lucky for us we got the insider dish from the owner, founder, and head designer • Libby D. Here’s what she told ThePoshReview.com:
TPR: What is the inspiration for indah brand styles, more specifically the new luxe line?
LD: Travel! Some of the Luxe collection is from a trip I took with my family last year to Morocco. The deep rich colors came from the rugs of Morocco, and the star print was from carved doors in Marrakesh. There is also some Bali in that collection, there is always Bali as it has given me a home for over 10 years. I find inspiration here every day.
TPR: Who would you label as an “indah woman?”
LD: Anyone young at heart, free in their mind, and flexible.
TPR: Is all your clothing environmentally friendly?
LD: I wish I could say yes. Not all of it yet. We do use natural dyes, and we recycle everything at our factory.
TPR: What is the target audience?
LD: I change constantly, we all do, so there is no one target, I just go with my intuition.
